Not crazy about the font, but why on earth doesn’t the iPhone do something like this? It’s fantastic.

It has always angered me that the iPhone displays NOTHING on the lock screen and yet it has all that space. I want to see some email, recent SMS messages, calendar items, weather… all of it.

Seeing something like this makes me want to jailbreak my phone.

Hear, hear. This is on a very short list of reasons I’d jailbreak. The next iPhone hardware and OS 3.0 (should) fix the other three: video recording, background processing (push is good enough for now), and tethering (though whether AT&T will allow this remains to be seen).
